About this event
HTSA Implementation Science Network Forum:
Whose knowledge counts? Power, relationships and scale in mental health workforce implementation.
Event Program
Health Translation South Australia (HTSA) has secured funding from the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) to support the sustainable and meaningful implementation of the Lived Experience Workforce Framework in public mental health services. Led by HTSA and partners across health, research and policy, the project will initially implement a Lived Experience (Peer) Workforce Framework at the Southern Adelaide Local Health Network (SALHN). By bringing together lived experience workers, health services, and key stakeholders, the project will identify practical learnings and recommendations to support statewide implementation.
Join us for a unique opportunity to explore power dynamics, how they can influence meaningful implementation of the Lived Experience (Peer) Workforce Framework in public mental health services, and what to consider in the early stages to ensure eventual scale-up.
Project Manager Jessica Giles (HTSA), Dr Rebecca Perry (HTSA), and SALHN Allied Health and Rehabilitation Stream Director Lucas Milne will take you through implementation in action, sharing their experience of embedding a new workforce within the SALHN Mental Health Rehabilitation Unit. Together with research and community network partners, ISN Forum attendees will explore the realities of scaling a new workforce in a dynamic and ever-changing environment.
Who are we?
The HTSA Implementation Science Network brings together health service leaders, clinicians, and researchers on a quarterly basis to share implementation activities happening across South Australia, and provides opportunities for feedback, learning from local experts, and fostering collaborations. Whether the focus is on improving service delivery or treatments, the Network aims to enhance the implementation, sustainability, and scalability of health research projects.
