The Spotlight Series: Communicating Your Research brought together researchers and communicators throughout September 2024 to explore how effective communication can amplify research impact. The series focused on practical strategies for telling clear, compelling research stories: from shaping strong narratives and grant applications to engaging communities, media and funders. Through expert-led webinars and shared insights, participants gained tools to communicate their research with confidence, clarity and purpose.
The key message of the Spotlight Series: Communicating Your Research was that effective research communication combines clear storytelling, audience understanding, and strategic presentation. It emphasizes the importance of defining your research's purpose, crafting well-targeted grant applications, engaging early with communities, and using visuals and compelling narratives to make your findings relatable and impactful.
